Merry Christmas or Christmas Eve!

Depending on where in the world you are, you've already hit the big holiday. I wanted to chime in to say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you!

I've been trying to rest this holiday, which isn't something I do often, but I'm still working on the next book in the Folded Earth series right now. It's taking extra work!

My favourite excerpt from Book 4 (so far)!

They opened quickly and sharply to admit two Fata, both of whom the room knew well. The first, with his golden-brown hair and bright apple-green eyes, was Daroth, the protector—or werdon—of the Regent. He was in the pale armour his kind often wore, which resembled nothing in colour more than the heart wood of a tree. Second was the foremost of the King’s Eligere—his Elite forces. Efnian was a deep black Alvisc with stormy, blue-grey eyes, his black brigandine glinted in the sun as he advanced, his hair in a thick black braid from the crown of his head today. His expression was drawn.

Something of a willing passenger in this room, the King stepped to the fore even as Daroth eased in beside Thahawn, “Efnian-kes. Report to me.”

An Torr,” Efnian’s head inclined out of long years of respect, “there has been a rumour of–”

A jagged, scraping cry reached in through the door the King had left open to the sun. Over the lake, a great hurtling blue-grey body tossed a shattered horse cart into the Green Mirror. It’s bat-like wings pulled it out of a stoop, and it arched up out of sight.

Mm.” The King said, “I have also heard this rumour.”

Efnian replied a dry, “Ai.”

Glass broke behind them, Maragianna having tipped her cup over in her rush to her feet and drawn all the attention in the room. She threw a hand over her heaving cleavage, “What is that thing!?”

Wrym-hofuth. A wyrm-head.” The King touched the sword Glace and walked onto the balcony with his Elite.

“What’s a worm-head?” Kessian looked deathly pale with dread. “Buckmaster, what’s a worm-head?”

She drew her sword and stalked after the Fata King, “I’ll let you know.”

Phone screensavers for you!

I also thought I'd give you a phone screensaver of the King in Autumn, right here (right-click to download your copy)!

And an autumnal Ora!

Best of Holiday wishes to you! I hope you're having a wonderful and restful, rewarding day, my friends! I... will continue working on this book!

Books and stories in case you need a good read!

Links to the two main series I'm currently writing. And I want to call out that I just dropped a short story into a 'Halls of Ghostly Holly' a holiday story with characters and a milieu I really adore, so I'll past a link to that for anyone interested in those 'scary ghost stories' of the holiday! I've also gotten Hard Candy (my holiday novella) to audiobook this year! XD
